Mailling/Schönau, 19th April 2018 – The cheese appetite experts from Frischpack in Mailling were thrilled to receive the “prize for long-standing product quality” from the German Agricultural Society (DLG) for the second time in succession. This commendation is only presented if three products win DLG international quality inspection awards three years in a row. After two golds and one silver in 2016, the mid-tier company was awarded four golds in 2017: for its 1,000 g pack of sliced red Cheddar, 500 g pack of Chilli Cheese slices, 500 g pack of cheese with colourful pepper mix, and 1,000 g pack of grated Mozzarella.
When inspecting the product, the examiners also place great importance on the quality of the packaging. For the quality of a product not only depends on the raw produce, but also on the packing technology or packaging material which are responsible for guaranteeing the freshness and purity of the product. The packaging should also be easy to open and completely resealable to protect the product against quality impairments, drying out or spoiling. Frischpack GmbH’s achievement of consistently good quality impressed the experts from the German Agricultural Society.
With its “DLG prize for long-standing product quality” the Society is supporting a sustainable corporate quest for quality. The commendation is a valuable guide for customers and consumers alike. “We at Frischpack are focussed on guaranteeing consistently high quality through technical innovations and a well-founded knowledge of cheese, its processing and packaging,” remarked Matthias Baumann, Marketing and Product Manager of the mid-tier company. “We are particularly thrilled to receive the recognition awarded by the DLG prize as it affirms our company philosophy.”
