Specific details regarding the website

Use of a newsletter

When registering to receive our newsletter, you must notify us of your e-mail address and other data may be optionally provided. We will only use this information in order to send you the newsletter. The data entered when subscribing to our newsletter will remain saved in our company until you terminate your subscription to the newsletter again. It is possible to unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the designated link in the newsletter or by sending written notification of unsubscription. This unsubscription is simultaneously an indication of your wish to revoke the use of your e-mail address. We also use your e-mail address, which we receive in combination with the sale of a product or service, exclusively to directly advertise our own products or services which are similar to those ordered by you. This is done in the form of our newsletter, but only if you have not objected to us doing so. You may object to the use of your e-mail address at any time without incurring costs other than the transmission costs at the basic tariffs. Your objection (and thus the termination of your subscription to our newsletter) can be exerted by sending a message to that effect to our e-mail address (see Imprint).

Usage data

When you visit our website, you will (out of technical necessity) transmit data to our web server via your internet browser. The following data is recorded during the active connection for communication between your internet browser and our web server:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name of the requested file
  • Site from which the file was requested
  • Access status (file transmitted, file not found, etc.)
  • Web browser or operating system used
  • Complete IP address of the requesting computer
  • Quantity of transmitted data.

This data is briefly saved by us for technical safety reasons, in particular to protect against the attempted hacking of our web server. It is not possible to identify individual persons using this data. The data is later rendered anonymous by shortening the IP address at domain level, thus making it no longer possible to make any reference to a single user. The data is also processed anonymously for statistical reasons; it is not compared to other data inventories or passed on to third parties, neither partially nor in its entirety.

Cookies

We use so-called cookies to expand the functions offered by our internet presence, to make it more comfortable for you to use and for marketing purposes. Other than those cookies needed for the function of the website and consent management, only those cookies which you have actively agreed to are used on our website. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the consent management tool. With these cookies, data can be stored on your computer when you visit our website. You have the option of preventing the storage of cookies on your computer by visiting the relevant settings on your browser. However, this may limit the functionality of our offer and prevent you from using certain services.

How to manage cookies:

In general, your cookie preferences are queried via the cookie pop-up window when you visit our website for the first time. You can also delete or manage cookies once you have set them in your browser settings. The following links help you to understand how to set your browser correctly:

When visiting our website for the first time, the user is asked to review our cookie policy and then choose to either accept or reject our use of cookies.

Our website uses three different types of cookies. We differentiate between cookies as follows:

  • obligatory cookies
  • functional cookies
  • marketing cookies

The characteristics of the individual types of cookies, the purposes for which they are required and the basis on which we use these cookies are presented below.

When you first visit our website, a cookie pop-up window appears. At that moment, only obligatory cookies are activated and all other cookies are deactivated. You now have the option to accept all cookies or to send us your preferences via the “Manage my tracking settings” function. Only after you have selected your cookie preferences and transmitted them by clicking on the “Send preferences” button will the relevant cookies be set or, depending on the selected preference, rejected. The cookie pop-up window will then only be displayed again if you delete the relevant cookies in your browser.

Obligatory cookies (access to the website)

We use obligatory cookies to make it possible to operate the website and to ensure that certain functions work properly. These types of cookies are always activated as otherwise it would not be possible to display the website, or some of its vital functionalities (e.g. for navigating between the various main and sub-pages, for providing a shopping cart to place articles in or for executing payment) would not work.

The obligatory cookies that we use are:

As part of our consent management system, we process your IP address so that we can save your selected tracking preferences and reserve them for your next visit to the website.

Functional cookies (for improving the website)

We use functional cookies to analyse how our website is being used. These cookies help us to optimise our website and to improve its functionality. These cookies also enable us to test the effectiveness of our website or to provide information for advertising analyses. They are only used if you actively consent to their use via the consent tool. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

The functional cookies that we use are:

The use of Google Analytics with your consent

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files which are saved on your computer and which allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. If the IP de-personalization feature is activated on the website, your IP address will, however, be shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other states which are contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse how the website is used, to compile reports about the website activities and to provide additional services connected to the use of the website and of the internet as a whole to the website operator. The IP address communicated from your browser by Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google. You can prevent cookies from being saved by making the corresponding setting in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that, if you do so, you may not be able to use the entire scope of functions of this website in certain cases. In addition, you can prevent the data generated by the cookie and the data relating to your use of the website

(incl. your IP address) from being recorded and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de In the light of discussions regarding the application of analysis tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()”. Therefore, IP addresses are only used in their shortened version to eliminate direct reference to persons. Especially for browsers on mobile devices, please click on this link to prevent future Google Analytics’ anonymised recording on this website for your browser using a so-called “opt-out cookie”.

Google Maps with the consent of website visitors

This website uses Google Maps for displaying the company address based on the consent of visitors to our website. Google Maps also uses so-called "cookies" which are saved on your computer and which allow your website use to be analysed. The information generated by the cookies regarding your use of this website is transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. Google may potentially use this information in order to analyse your website use, to compile reports about website activities for the website operator and to provide other services linked with the use of the website and the internet in general. Google will also pass on this information to third parties if necessary, if it is prescribed by law or if third persons are to process this data on behalf of Google. Google will never associate this data with other Google data. You can generally prevent the use of cookies if you prohibit cookies from being saved in your browser.
