Sustainable management, an ambition to be an attractive employer and the conservation of resources form an integral part of the Frischpack mission statement. For us, sustainability means being ecologically aware in our actions while also efficiently economizing for our customers’ benefit so that we can generate a real additional value for them. Consistently practised responsibility for our environment combined with a high demand on quality and innovation are what drive us on a daily basis.
Thanks to our consistent and resolute actions, our operations at our Mailling plant have been climate-neutral since 2020. One more milestone on our journey which makes us proud and confirms that we are taking the right actions.

We try to utilise our influence potential in the best way possible with regard to the five fields of action. The key objectives defined in the latest sustainability report were expanded upon to include the objective “development of sustainable packaging solutions” as it has since become significantly more important to us. 5th place in GERMANY TEST 2018 as an employer in the packaging industry sector. Commendation with the “Top Career Opportunities” seal.
Since 2013, Frischpack has reduced its corporate carbon footprint by more than 50% (CO₂ in kg) and its operations at its Mailling plant have been climate-neutral since 2020.
Since 2013 the most modern technology and optimised production processes have led to a considerable reduction in raw-materials and product losses, as well as a significant decline in the number of complaints.
Together with our value-stream mapping and planning optimisations, the introduction of the 5S system now guarantees an increase in efficiency, profitability, quality and occupational safety.
Between 2016 and 2018 Frischpack invested around 15 million euros in upgrades and automating existing packing lines, as well as in a machine data logging system. In 2019 we were presented with the TOP 100 Award for this. You can find further information regarding this here.
16th place in the industrial sector in GERMANY TEST 2018’s “Germany’s most valuable companies”. Quality valuation “Ecological, Economical and Socially Valuable”.
We have already been entirely using electricity from renewable energy sources since 2015. In addition our photovoltaic system installed in 2018 should generate an anticipated yield of approximately 250,000 kWh each year.
We are actively working on sustainable packaging solutions in accordance with our 3-pillar-model which includes the reduction of plastics, recyclable composite and mono-materials, and biopolymers.
